Stockpile is an personal finance platform that empowers people to reach investment, budgeting, spending and savings goals. I helped them deliver on their newly launched budgeting and investment solutions for both the desktop and mobile experience, this involved building and utilizing a new design system as well as synthesizing research to create new features.
Stockpile launched a few new impressive features that needed a similarly impressive user interface and experience. The first of these features was the new budgeting page, which incorporated an entirely new design system derived from the existing one.
Stockpile has been a platform for investing since their inception, but the mobile experience has long been outdated, difficult to use and limiting in accessibility and hierarchy of information. I introduced new components to their library and used these to build a robust and streamlined mobile experience, while also reworking the desktop experience to be more in line with business objectives and research data.
The introduction of the new portfolio page was the tip of the iceberg for the rest of the capabilities the app has. The logical next step was to introduce a new individual stock page that followed the same patterns, this level is where all trade actions take place and where users are able to get incredibly detailed reports on a specific stock.
