Overview

I provided a comprehensive redesign of Rexchanger's brand identity, including logo, typography, and color palette. Additionally, I revamped the mobile UI interface to create a more user-friendly and intuitive experience. The redesign also involved optimizing the app flow to simplify the process of finding and renting outdoor gear, improving the user experience.

Brand Identity

Refreshed brand to a new idea.

Rexchanger is a startup gear exchange platform that was looking for help deciding on a brand identity and a new interface for their platform. As a platform that allows people to rent each other's outdoor gear, Rexchanger is dedicated to getting more people outside. But how do you communicate that mission through design? In this project, we'll explore a redesign of Rexchanger's brand identity, including their logo, colors, typography, mobile UI interface, and app flow. We'll also discuss how these changes improve the user experience and interface.

Brand Identity/Design System Redesign

The old Rexchanger logo felt outdated and disconnected from the outdoors. The new logo is an iteration of their current brand, the goal was to transition their existing brand to symbolize the great outdoors and the adventurous spirit of Rexchanger's users. The font is bold and modern, communicating strength and reliability. The green color palette reflects the natural beauty of outdoor environments, the colors are used purposefully to begin to build a design system that Rexchanger could gain familiarity with.

New Design System

The new system integrated a more robust component library, a clear hierarchy, standardized type and colors. The color palette was updated to include shades of green, blue, and white, creating a more cohesive and calming environment.

Mobile UI Interface

The old interface was cluttered and confusing. The new interface is streamlined and intuitive, making it easier for users to find what they need. The homepage features a search bar, making it easy to find the gear you need. The categories are clearly defined, and the menu is simplified, making it easy to access account information and settings.

New App Flow

The old app flow was clunky and unintuitive. The new flow is designed to make it easier for users to find and rent outdoor gear. The app flow now includes a feature that allows users to scan gear before renting, ensuring that they are getting exactly what they need. Additionally, the checkout process has been simplified, making it easier for users to complete their rental.
